I was thinking you may be interested in our adoption agency; they have been great at encouraging  us and guiding us through all the bureaucracy.  It has been great having such a good social worker.  Their philosophy on the "Spirit of Adoption" is really beautiful,  and you can also read about the Waiting Child Program.

The part of the Chinese government that manages adoptions, is the CCAA.  We chose China partly because their program is so well run, it was a much better "fit" for us than other countries.

We will soon travel to China (the travel arrangements will be made by America World).  We have been told we would enter through Beijing, spend about three days there, then go to Guangzhou.  However, I spoke to a family last week (but they used a different agency) who entered through Hong Kong.  Guangzhou (aka Canton) is a beautiful and fascinating major city just up the Pearl River about 75 miles from Hong Kong.  There is an American embassy in  Guangzhou where we will finalize the American half of the adoption.

Looks like San Diego weather!  I think Oct.,Nov., & March are the best times with respect to temperature and rain.
